Sharing the Two-Way Street

A couple days ago I found myself in a motor vehicle behind a cyclist on a public highway.  The rider happened to be sporting a Greenville Spinners logo.  None of this is remarkable.  What was remarkable and causes me to write is what happened next.  The rider 1) stopped at a red light with no crossing traffic, and 2) looked behind to see who was waiting (me), and moved to the left so I could proceed making a right on red.  I was positively impressed, and wish I had stopped to thank the rider.

If all your members could observe both code and courtesy, understanding that sharing-the-road goes both ways, it will go a long way to making highways compatible with both recreation and commerce, for all vehicle types.
