Good luck keeping track of what's going on here.

"It seems that Demetrius Soupolos, 29, and his former beauty queen wife, Traute, wanted a child badly, but Demetrius was told by a doctor that he was sterile.

We got an infertile guy, with a hot wife, who want a baby.  Got that part.

"So Soupolos, after calming his wife’s protests, hired his neighbour, Frank Maus, 34, to impregnate her."

Enter the neighbor fellow.  Ok, a little odd, but not so far fetched.

"Soupolos paid Maus $2,500 for the job and for 3 evenings a week for the next 6 months, Maus tried desperately, a total of 72 times, to impregnate Traute."

Yeah, the hourly rate isn't too good.  How's the dental plan for that job?  Does it include flossing?

"Since Maus was already married and the father of two children, plus looked very much like Soupolos to boot, the plan seemed good."

Hang on, the neighbor is married, with kids?  Um, just what does his wife think about this??

"When his own wife objected, he explained, “I don’t like this any more than you. I’m simply doing it for the money. Try and understand.”"

Don't try this at home fellahs.  It ain't gonna work, I'm tellin ya.


Ah, but the best 'laid' plans...

"When Traute failed to get pregnant after 6 months, however, Soupolos was not understanding and insisted that Maus have a medical examination, which he did."  

Turned out Maus was also infertile!

"Now Soupolos is suing Maus for breach of contract, in an effort to get his money back, but Maus refuses to give it up because he said he did not guarantee conception, but only that he would give an honest effort."

The story made the news because it's supposedly in front of a court in Stuttgart.

But, what about the two kids that our hard working surrogate supposedly fathered...?

"The doctor’s announcement that Maus was also sterile shocked everyone except his wife, who was forced to confess that Maus was not the real father of their two children."

Wow.  My head hurts.  I need to go watch something more believable with less plot twists, like last night's episode of 24!
