I
did this once a couple years ago, a tandem sky-dive. It's a blast
and a unique experience - there's no way you can replicate the
perspective of jumping out of a rickety old plane, ripping through the
air, and the astonishing contrast when the chute deploys and everything
becomes incredibly peaceful and serene.
My instructor/partner
was a cute young Swedish-looking blonde lady {/me waves to
Scooter!}. Yeah, I thought I was lucky about that part.
Little did I know I lucky I was to get a healthy young tandem...

A
man who received a parachute jump as a Christmas gift from his
girlfriend had to use his own skill to survive after the instructor he
was tethered to suffered a fatal heart attack during the jump"

Pharr
said that he knew something was wrong when George Steele stopped
answering his questions after their parachute deployed Saturday
afternoon over Chester County.Pharr
said it was his first jump from a plane. He said he didn't panic
because of his Army training. Pharr said he also knew from watching
television to use the toggles on the parachute to steer. He said he tried CPR on Steele as soon as they landed but was unable to save him."
I hope they give the client an automatic solo license!
