GO SEE CHRIS DUARTE AT GOTTROCKS ON SATURDAY !!!!!

I cannot impress upon you strongly enough just how amazing this guy is on the guitar (damn fine signer/songwriter too, with enough tru-life blues to make ya weep).  This guy plays the guitar as intuitively as an organ of his body - I never believed a single-coil Strat could really sing and wail with soul until I saw him play from the pit one night.  Then I went home and very nearly sold all my guitar stuff.

Style: Rockin' Blues From Somewhere Between Texas and The Most Tortured Parts of Your Soul

Sounds Like: 'At times it's a Cheese grater on your forehead and other times it's Honey running down the porches of thine ears but it's always passionate and emotional.'

Lauded Like: 'Duarte won a major label deal with Silvertone Records and released Texas Sugar/Strat Magik in 1994, and was named “Best New Talent” in Guitar Player’s 1995 Reader's Poll. He finished fourth in the magazine’s “Best Blues Guitarist” category behind Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy and B.B. King.'
