Death to Death Row (and More Rectal Fun!)
Current mood: accomplished
Category: Life
It's
so sad when a loving couple, married for many years, is separated by
the eventual death of one. Especially if it's the man, who was
waiting patiently, very patiently, to FINALLY GET SOME PEACE!
But there's still one last shot at getting even! "Husband's coffin kills woman in Brazil" Detroit Free Press "A woman died on the way to a cemetery when a traffic accident hurled her husband's coffin against the back of her neck.
 Police
say 67-year old Marciana Silva Barcelos was in the front passenger seat
of the hearse when the accident occurred Monday in the southern state
of Rio Grande do Sul. Barcelos died instantly.
Her 76-year-old husband, Josi Silveira Coimbra, died Sunday of a heart attack while dancing at a party."
Aha!
So he was dancing, eh... betcha it was with someone his wife couldn't
stand - and so she switched his heart medication with flaxseed
husk! Yes, love is a wonderful thing.
Love doesn't just
transcend death, but now it gets through the prison walls on death row
- provided you're willing to expand the new "My Circle" plan.
Careful about putting it on vibrate - Dead man buzzing! "X-ray reveals cell phone in death row inmate's rectum" http://www.chron.com/ "Prison
staff conducting a shakedown of the row Friday found a cell phone
secreted in the rectum of convicted murderer Henry Skinner at the
Polunsky Unit in Livingston, said Texas Department of Criminal Justice
spokeswoman Michelle Lyons.
They
first found two SIM cards, or memory chips, in Skinner's Bible, she
said. Because they suspected he also had a cell phone, they took him to
the infirmary, did an X-ray and found the cell phone."
Skinner, who's mom must really love him.
And this is not a new problem! "A
prison lockdown was instituted in October after officials found 10
death row inmates had made nearly 2,800 calls from a cell phone linked
to Tabler, who had himself called Whitmire. ... Before
the latest discoveries, the lockdown had yielded on death row alone 12
cell phones, nine chargers, three cell phone batteries, seven SIM cards
and two weapons, Lyons said."
I'm not sure about the signal quality in prison, but I bet they see more bars.
Today's mules have it easy compared to the early days.
