Razor Sharp, and Always Tasteful - The Magnificent BudK Catalog!
Current mood: ninja
Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping

A different class of catalog comes to my house these days  I suppose this has something to do with knocking 200 points off my credit score (a modest result really, for borrowing about $300,000 and then announcing it wasn't going to be paid back).  Now I get books with pretty pictures and "LOW MONTHLY PAYMENT!" on every page, with the actual prices buried deeper than the toy in a jumbo box of Frosted Flakes.

Regular readers (yeah, you - and what the hell is wrong with you, anyway??) may remember that I blogged about shopping for a knife.  Just a knife, as a field tool for hiking/camping/etc.  Well, it's a wonder I didn't pick up one of these dandies...

It's the "Secret Agent Sword"!

"...sleek stylish look with easy maneuverability. The blade is constructed with fantasy cut outs, teeth like serrations, and a piercing point."
An amazing buy, on clearance at $12.99.  With teeth-"LIKE" serrations!

Ok, that may be a little toothy for the truly discreet secret missions.  Maybe one needs something a little more practical.

"Silver Edition Blade of Woden Dagger"
That Woden sounds like a real badass.  And with a wall stand like that, his room must look much cooler than that of a typical 15 year old knife collecting wannabee!  $10 for both may be a princely sum, but one must pay for such quality and classic design.

For my specific need, I might've picked a dedicated "survival" knife.  Like this all-in-one model,

with an included sling shot.  [A sling shot??  Seriously???]

Also in the "survival" line, are models without all the extra gizmos stuffed in the handle.
The challenge may be comparing models they claim are of good quality that range in price from $4 to a mere $140.

Silly me, I went and bought my knife at Home Depot.

But Bud K is not just knives!

The "Professional" Chain Whip.  Yes, professional.  Betcha missed 'chain whipper' on the guidance counselor's career day forms.  But be warned - " Never before has a weapon this serious been available to the public."

And don't forget, just in time for mother's day,

The Uruk Hai Scimitar from The Lord Of The Rings will look lovely next to mom's black velvet seascape.
"This sword features a 24 3/4" high carbon steel blade and leather wrapped wood handle over the solid full tang construction."  And that's what every mother deserves.

Dude, you are SO in those databases, and your happy ass is flaged for days. Like it wasn't already, and since I know you, claim you as a friend, they probably tagged me too. AH friendship like that is priceless, not even a "Never before offered to the public" chain whip can compare!

judas, my heart.

my mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging pothead neighbor has shit like that, you know, mounted on his walls & stuff. if you're in middle school & do that stuff, you're a complete loser. once you're into your 30's & you still do that stuff...yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I am sure he would find the survival knives totally useful though, especially as he likes to "go camping" and by camping I mean, he sets up a tent IN HIS BACKYARD, and he seriously calls that camping. HAHAHAHAHAHA
